The Killers is a story about a young man and his work friends. they are having a normal day until two men walk in and tell them to get on the floor. The two men say they are looking for a man. Homicide is more of a relaxed story. The scene was mainly a manipulation. It speaks about how the police station there are three witnesses and the was a knife at the scene. Tension get is being built in the book from the way the detectives are shouting at the person. The way Hemingway builds tension is they tie the two cooks up and question the boy to see where the person they are looking for “we’re  going to kill a swede. Do you know a big swede named Ole Anderson?” . They scare the two to cooks by tieing them up but the with the boy they keep on calling him a bright boy because it was a way of mocking the boy.

David Simon creates tension in homicide by using lots of swear words and in the book the detective says “I got a knife from the scene that’s going downstairs to the lab for latent prints. I got blood spatter on them air Jordans we took of you ten minutes ago”. This creates tension by making people who are reading this think more then they should be. People will be think is it him that killed this person or why was there a knife at the scene if it was suspected as manslaughter. the first difference between the two books is in the killers it is very patient in the way the two men don’t get angry and shout they just use there power to get the answer out of the boy. but the difference between in homicide is the detectives like to shout and swear. Also the way that the detectives are threatening the person that has got arrested by saying there are three witnesses that are sitting in other rooms. They were also saying that the things on the the seen are linked to you.

The second difference between the two books are that the killers is set in third person.

Good start, Billy, but it tails off significantly. I don’t see why you did not keep this going as you clearly understand what is expected of you. One piece of advice I have is to remember that the title of a book or story is a name so it needs a capital letter. We also put quotation marks around it, e.g. “The Killers”.

Finish this.
